In 2024, 20 years will have passed since Latvia became a member of the European Union. Therefore, the summer school will be organized to emphasize the interaction between Latvia and Europe, at the same time emphasizing the unique cultural and historical heritage of Latvia, thus reviving the recognition contained in the preamble of the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia about Latvia's belonging to the European cultural space. During school, there will be lectures, seminars, and discussions on:
- historical and cultural processes in Europe/Ukraine and their impact on events in Latvia, as well as on the cultural and historical development of Latvian regions;
- Latvian diaspora activity in Europe and Ukraine;
- activities of notable Europeans in Latvia;
- Latvian history in European and Ukrainian historiography;
- historical and cultural research experience in Latvia, Europe, Ukraine.
