International summer school "Current approaches and modern technologies in the historiography and source research of Latvian history and cultural heritage"

With the support of the State Education Development Agency, the Institute of Latvian History in cooperation with the Department of History of the Faculty of Humanities of Daugavpils University from 25.06.2023 until 04.07.2023 organizes the International Scientific Summer School "Current approaches and modern technologies in the historiography and source research of Latvian history and cultural heritage", which will be held in Riga and Daugavpils. During the summer school, lectures and practical lessons are planned on methodological approaches in the research of sources and historiography, methods of analysis of sources and historiography, the informative potential of sources in the research of various stages of history. School participants will participate in seminars at the Latvian State Historical Archive and the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia.

More than 50 researchers and students from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Great Britain, Ukraine, Turkey, Moldova, Georgia, Uzbekistan applied to participate in the summer school.
